Cover the space people actually sit in
A misting system is bought for one reason: to make the outside of the house usable in the evening. So the planning question is not how big the patio is, it is where people end up. The table, the grill, the step down to the lawn, the corner the dog lies in.
Covering the whole footprint evenly sounds thorough and usually is not. Concentrating on the used space and the approach to it is what gets noticed, and it costs less.

Nozzle placement and line routing are the whole job
The difference between a system that works and one that drips on the furniture is where the nozzles sit and how the line gets to them. Height, spacing and the direction the prevailing evening breeze pushes the mist all decide whether it hangs where you want it.
Routing matters for the way it looks as much as the way it works. A line run along a structural edge disappears. A line run across the middle of a ceiling is something you look at every evening for years.
Chapter 03
Keeping it working through a Texas summer
Misting systems fail at the nozzle, and they fail from hard water and dust rather than from anything dramatic. A blocked nozzle in the middle of a run leaves a warm gap exactly where you are sitting.
Maintenance is unglamorous and short: clear the nozzles, check the pressure, look at the joints. It is the reason a system is still worth having in its fourth summer.
